Esbjerg Tubular Services ApS was established by Günther Harms in the year 2000 as an inspection and service company located at the harbor of Esbjerg offering a broad range of services to the offshore oil & gas companies located in Esbjerg. Today, the company has a 50% shared ownership with Blue Water Shipping A/S.

In 2015, ETS leased the production, office and warehouse area in collaboration with Blue Water Shipping A/S. The buildings have been renovated to suit ETS’s specialized work and are some of the most modern of their kind in Denmark, located within Esbjerg Harbor’s secured area.

When ETS started in 2000, it was the only Danish inspection and service company working with cleaning, inspection, preservation, storage and preparation of tubular and drilling equipment for the oil and gas industry. Activities, which are used in connection with development of the oil & gas fields offshore in the North Sea and on land with the purpose of making storing facilities for gas and development of new projects for producing clean geothermal energy etc.

As drilling operations became more sophisticated with drilling depths up to 9,000 – 10,000 vertical feet and as horizontal drilling techniques were developed to drill holes of the same horizontal length, the expectations to the drilling equipment quality has grown accordingly and likewise to the companies, who carry out inspection and service of the equipment.
