NDE
When NDE is carried out on materials, the material surface is examined for defects and material inhomogeneities, without damage being inflicted to the product. It is one of the most valuable approaches, saving the clients both money and time in product evaluation, troubleshooting and research.
Non-Destructive Examination
At ETS, the following standard Non-Destructive Examination methods can be carried out on carbon steel materials:
- Visual examination (VT)
- Magnetic particle examination (MPI)
- Penetrant examination (PT)
- Ultrasonic examination (UT)
All Non-Destructive Examinations (NDE) are carried out according to recognized standards such as:
- international standards.
- national standards.
- client standards and specifications.
All examinations are performed and reported in accordance with clear written instructions, prepared for each examination method, and a specific performance guide is developed to the extent required by the relevant standards or specifications. This also applies if the norm basis is general, and detailed inspection specifications are required.
The prepared instructions will ensure that:
- the requirements of the relevant standard are fulfilled.
- a uniform examination is achieved.
